Weird microsd card behavior

for some reason my microsd 2gb card wont read on my laptop with windows vista but on my desktop with Windows XP it does. i have formated the card on XP to a FAT32 format and it reads fine there. when i stick it into my laptop's built in card reader it shows up on the my computer screen as sd card and when i try to open it, it says Please insert disk into SD card (F. even though i labeled it "2gbsd" on the XP computer.

i intend on using this card as a backup for important documents and it's really important that i get this to work.

dmkmarlonsparda13 this is a complete guess, i know little in this area.

Earlier today i read that many SD Card readers can not read SDHC Cards. Is the card you are using a SDHC?

i say go back to just plainO FAT
FAT32 won't read on some devices...

its just a regular microsd card.
