ram for q6600 and p35ds3l

hey everyone
i have a gigabyte p35 ds3l and a q6600 i am looking to hit about 3.4-3.3 but my 2 gig stick of patriot 667 doesn't look like it is going to cut it.I am running xp pro 32 bit
i have 2 questions
1) should i stick with 2 gig sticks or screw it and just get 1 gig sticks
2) these all look good what is the best choice

sounds good, only thing is i heard about some compatibility issues with mobo. is that true?
and if i wait longer will the prices drop more?
