Which card would support higher resolutions for pc games, not framerates?

Invidia 8800 320gts
Invidia 8800 256/256 gts
ATI 3850 256/512

currently running a 320gts in my main system.

the more memory, the better it can handle higher resolutions. If you were in the market to buy a new card, only 3 would do.

3850 with 512 mb of memory
3870 in the same flavor
or a 8800 GT with 512 megs of memory.

Your card is far from bad, but these are the current solutions that are most sought after, going above them is pointless, considering these cards offer the performance of their high end 2900XT and 8800 GTX for a faction of the price.

Your card is probably fine for anything under 1900x1200. That res or higher you will REALLY want 512+.

Are you looking to replace it or something? That is still a great card. If you are looking for a replacement wait till the next generation cards come out. Unless of course you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

Running a 1650 x 1080 22" LCD.

The graphics look really good with the 320gts, but a little confused about whether the higher interface supports higher resolutions(320), than the lower interface(256) with more secondary (512) memory. It seems like more and better cards are coming out. My 1950pro was more expensive (last year) than any of those three are now.
Crysis recommends medium setting, but then I add 2x AA.

the 320 gts is best for lower res scenarios. When you start reaching up to 1650x1080, you'd want 512 megs of memory.

What processor do you have anyways? To see if it's even worth upping to a 8800GT.

The 8800GT 512MB is good for your first system. Make sure your PSU can support it though.

Indeed, If he has the power for the 8800 GTS 320, he should have enough power. But best to make sure you have ample amperages to support the card.

Think im going to wait a couple months then buy a really good one. Source games look outrageous on the 320. And the next one i would like to max all settings on the 1650x1080 monitor. Running a 550 MadDog psu. Was going to purchase an Antec trio650 when I upgrade.
