External Hardrive won't work after Bios Update

Updated MS-7030 motherboard bios, now external Wd5000c032 won't connect to windows xp.

Windows finds new hardware and directs me to update drivers,which fails as its not supposed to do this.

checked the western digital site they say it should auto detect and the problem is with windows. cant see

any reason why the bios update would affect this. any help would be appreciated.

At a guess, I say you probably need to down-load the latest chipset drivers (to match the BIOS) from MSI's web site.

There should be a note to that effect in the BIOS update release notes.
