I have a Gigabyte DS3 paired with an E6600. Assuming everything is at stock speeds, would I notice any real improvement if I swapped out my existing 2GB of Corsair XMS2 DDR2-675 for 2GB of Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800? I am running XP Pro. I am assuming there would be virtually no difference, but I wanted to ask around to be sure.

Thanks.

If u dont want to OC, then no it isnt worth it, because they dont have a noticealbe difference
But if u want to OC then DDR2 800 OCs better than DDR2 675/667

You probably wouldnt notice the difference unless you tried to overclock.

I think you mean DDR2-667. I agree with Maziar, it would be dumb upgrade unless your looking to get a better overclock.

Well actually we have DDR2 675 too

shady i had almost the exact same setup except i have the e6420. I just bought a 2gb kit from OCZ of ddr2 800 solely for the purpose of getting a better OC. But i can tell you that the Corsair 675 kit OC'ed extremely well for what it was. It allowed my e6420 to get up to 3.4

Moral of this story.. don't upgrade, it's not worth it unless you're OC'ing very high. hth
