I just noticed a killer Zotac running at 700mhz on newegg for about $259, was about to pull the trigger then saw they also had several 650 mhz gts (g92) models for about the same price!

What would YOU buy if the dollars match for 1920x1200 resolution?

before the argument was, that the gts was too expensive for the few % increase of the GTS...but now, what does do?

I hear the 8800gt is good for overclocking, the zotac from what I've read does not have the dreaded 8800gt weak fan issue and runs fairly cool. Not sure about the models selling for a comparable price in the GTS line.

Both 8800GT and 8800GTS are good cards and perform closely to each other.
For that resolution i would go for a 8800GTS 512

Try a /search next time.. but:

GTS at that resolution. I would almost guarentee with the reference cooler it'll break 700 MHz core without issue.

The Zotac is STILL a single slot solution.

I would get it from eVGA, XFX, or BFG Tech.
