What a great combination for price, - New E4500 + Secondhand 7600GT + New Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2 + Antec basic 500w 12v dual rail PSU.

Can run GRAW at max detail with smooth game play.

Don't even have to OC although the MB is a good OC'er and so is the CPU.

No real reason to buy a higher spec CPU, just my 2 cents worth :)

Let me say that i will go with any technology that is better, be it AMD or Intel.

Loyalty is great but i assure u, the better product comes out on top.

I know many PC builders that would use AMD as priority before the C2D was available, but now instal only C2D's.

The only downfall of this is that if AMD goes out of business, intel will take advantage of it and increase prices.

I am sure AMD will hit the top again given time and maybe a buyout or merger will do the trick.

:fou: And this is not a flame war post!

I probably would have gone down a bit on the CPU if that would have allowed a better video card. The 7600GT is quickly becoming a lowend card, and shouldn't go in new gaming builds. As you said yourself, the 4500 is a good CPU and I agree, but the 7600GT was a poor choice.
