7900gto problems

I recently purchised this card and i have some i thnk serious problems with it
1 of all when i start some 3d application i hear very annoying high frequency noise from it
2nd the card is very unstable,although its on its factory settings-several times i tryed to run 3dmark 05 and 06 and the results are blue screens and restart
what causes all this

Um, are you sure the video card is making that noise? It sounds like maybe your power supply isn't powerful enough. What are your system specs?

its the vga deffinitelly,the cpu is powerful enoung to handle it- 500W Chieftec

Most likely used.

Download ATITool or Riva Tuner and find out what the temps are. Also, the loud noise is most likely a fan. Check to make sure it is working properly.
