What temps do you get if you leave the fans at default settings?

I have the BFG overclocked version (625 vs. 600, not a huge leap I admit) and mine runs at 46C at stocktimings, 29% fan speed, stock HSF. Never gets above mid 60s during gaming. Had it up to 80C after about ten minutes of ATI Tool's torture test with fan at 46%, but that was when overclocked to 690 core and 1050 memory (current settings).

Hence the slight increase in required fan speed, makes sense.

I just reinstalled my OS and haven't gotten around to setting Riva Tuner up but there are many good guides which show you how to configure it to automatically change with you temps.

Oh yes, in much the same way that being massaged by a young buxom wench is better than being stabbed in the face with a rusty pitchfork.

What are you guys using to control your 2nd card's fan in Vista?

I can control both my 8800GT fans separately in XP using rivatuner, but I can only control 1 8800GT fan speed in Vista. Haven't found a way to control the 2nd one yet.

Im trying to avoid installing ntune if possible, but if ntune is the only way to control the other fan speed then I guess I'll just have to deal with it.
