Hello,

I have HP dv6000 laptop which was working fine until 2 weeks ago. Now it is really sluggish
In computer property, windows says 256Mb of memory...
The BIOS says 1Gb and CPUZ says 1Gb
I have also tested the memory with Memtest86 and GoldMemory and says it is ok.

Any idea where to dig ?

Thanks
Francois

Try the following
Check in Task Manager if there is an application runnning and eating your memory
If you van do the following
Remove all sticks and reinstall them and see
Try to install 256 first then 512 then 768 then all sticks and see the result each time

Thank you for your reply.
I have already tried this to exchange memory modules and also with different memory size. Still the same, tasl manager says 256Mb
The task manager also do not report an unusual hungry process
