More Information

When I start my computer up and the bios comes up, it states that there is 256mb of ram in my pc.  I know for a fact that there are 2 sticks of 256mb of pc800-45 rdram (non-ecc).  When I go to run and type in dxdiag, the window states that my computer has 512mb of ram.  What is going on?  Is one of the sticks of ram faulty?
