My computer:

MSI K9A2 Platinum
AMD Phenom 9950BE
OCZ EvoStream 720
ATI HD4850 (Overclocked stock cooler to 675MHz core - runs around 50 idle and 65 load - not too worried about that considering before I manually set the fans it was hovering around 80)
G.Skill 1066MHz 4GB

What I AM worried about is that I have my 9950BE overclocked to 2.9GHz with a 14.5x multiplier with the stock cooler. It seems stable, and according to the AMD Overdrive stability test, it is. But it creeps up and hits 58C at load - Which on processors such as the P4 Prescott I know is fine, but there is little history so far with the 140W TDP 9950 temps... AMD lists the processor's "safe" temperature at 64C... Am I just worrying too much? It just seems that most people are having trouble hitting this with aftermarket cooling, and the fact that I got it so easily, stable with the stock voltage is a bit worrying....

Temperatures read with SpeedFan, BIOS, and Overdrive (triple checked)

If this is fine I don't see what everyone is complaining about when overclocking the Phenoms... I mean Im not an insane overclocker looking for 18 Gigahertz, but 2.9 stock voltage stock cooler seems pretty damn good to me... And I see no signs that I've hit "the wall."

except a $189 Q6600 can easily get to 3.0GHz without a voltage change and can reach 3.6 fairly easily on air.

And that q6600 doesn't have a quad-crossfire motherboard for $150 either, does it? And I went up to 3.0 yesterday, still got the stock cooler, still stable, still stock voltage. I am the winrar.
