I recently purchased the 780g Gigabyte motherboard. My ram is some 2x2gb GSKILL F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ. With that I have a 8800gt, razer sound card, 5000+ AMD X2, and a WD 160gb hard drive.

I have put everything together but when I went to turn it on, there is no beep code and no video from card or motherboard. Is there any reason why?

What are the reasons my mobo wont beep and is my ram incompatable?

Thanks

With the new Gigabyte boards the first time you turn it on it takes about 30 seconds before it will. Something to do with their Dual BIOS. Freaked me out when I built my Gigabyte 790FX system as well, went online and found the information and gave it a second try by just waiting and it worked.

Also since its the 780g I would suggest you remove the video card and go with the onboard till you can get to the BIOS.

Once you get into the BIOS you can then shut down the onboard video and install your 8800gt

I tried the 30 second thing, but it still doesn't work. I think it might be the ram. The ram that I mentioned above should be compatible with it. I tried one stick and waited 30secs and then waited for another couple mins.
