Its louder than when I bought it...it buzzes and kinda sounds sparky...but it doesn't make arc noises. I just got my PSU last summer...its a 850wattt antec. I know people dont like it when I base quality on price, but this thing was freaken expensive. I have several things hooked up to it like three hard drives, two dvd roms, my vid card(8800gts 640mb), about 8 fans, and a water cooling kit. Also my cpu is overclocked to 3.2 currently but sometimes I have it at 3.3(word...I can make my 6000 to chill at 3.3 just fine). So what do I do? Do I send my psu back and get a bigger one? Do I punch my roommate just for fun? Should I just plug less stuff into it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

It looks like the PSU might be overheating or PSU fan is dying.

Should I put a fan on the PSU, so it blows air into it? Could that help?

Arcing/sparking sounds?
Cleaned out the dust in the past year?

I gave up on Antec over two years ago and now only use PC Power & Cooling units,Thermalright coolers and Silverstone FM-121 fans.
CoolerMaster TO-1 cases with exit fan grill removed for full airflow and HD unit and fan inline for dirrect in/out,optional Crossflow Fan.
No other fans needed and never more than 4C over room temps durring Orthos.
See my profile (50% OC on seven LAN units).

The new 6000+ and 8800GTS (G92) also never goes over 4C as well.

Like replacing the fan? If you do that, you'll void the warranty.

Yeah i think im gonna try and place an 80mm fan on the front of the psu. Then it can blow air though the psu faster and out the back of my computer.
