The boot hangs for about 60 seconds after:
Marvell 88SE61XX Adapter - BIOS Version 1.1.0.L61. Initializing.

I have the floppy and DVD burner in the boot sequence. Both are functioning properly. I don't have anything plugged into the 5th SATA port. Does anyone know what is causing the delay? And better yet, know of a way to make it go away?

After the hang, the boot continues normally. I have the latest BIOS (1.8).

A bit more information. I unplugged the DVD burner IDE cable and booted and didn't encounter the long delay. I checked the firmware on my Plextor burner (PX-740A) and it had the latest version (1.2). I've decided to get a SATA burner primarily to get rid of the IDE cable. Hopefully, that will resolve the problem.

Thanks for the response. See http://forum.msi.com.tw/index.php?topic=115678.0 for another thread. I decided to replace the ATA burner with SATA. It resolved the problem and eliminated the big cable.
