I have an Evga 8800gt which came at standard speeds. After setting my fan speed to 70% and o/cing to superclock speeds I originally thought I was getting 30-35 fps in COD4. I messed with riva tuner a little a figured out how to view the fps while playing the game. to my surprise I was actually getting more like 60fps with almost everything turned up to maxed at 1680X1050 resolution. this was a pleasant surprise. ANyways just wondering what others users with an 8800gt are getting in COD4 --------------- AMD Athlon X2 4800+ Brisbane, Biostar 570 SLI Mobo, 2gb G-Skill Ram 5-5-5-15, Seagate 160gb SATA 2 Hdd, Mushkin 550W PSU, EVGA 8800gt 512, Windows XP Pro, Arctic Cooliing Freezer 64, Coolermaster Centurion 5 Natalie Gulbis is fricken HOT!!!!!!!! |

Depending on the map, I'm anywhere from 50fps to 90fps. Usually its above 70. I'm OCed to 700/1900 with fan on 75% using RivaTuner. Settings are all on max @ 1680x1050. |

I'm at 1680x1050 on a GTS at 750/1000 and I average around 65FPS. I mean it goes down to mid 50's at times but then again goes up in the 80's at other. Normally it's mid 60's. So you are right where you sould be.

1280x1024 -->1680x1050 is going to be a pretty noticable performance difference. I did this with my old card when i went from a 17" to 22"WS. Definitely noticed a decrease. --------------- E6400@3.2ghz w/ Thermalright Ultra-120 Asus P5W DH Deluxe 4x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 4-4-4-12 CoolMax 600W PSU XFX 8800GTS Alpha Dog (@750/1000) Dell 22" E228WFP Seagate 250GB ES.2 & 250GB 7200.10 Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer |

I flashed by XFX 8800GT bios to 725/2000 after I put on the HR-03 GT. I havent played COD4 much recently, but when I was playing it, at 1680x1050, 4xAA/8xAF with everything maxed out, I was staying above 60fps most of the time. My E6550 is running at 3.33Ghz, so that wasnt hurting my fps either. |

Even with my old card COD4 looked sweet. I got dizzy cause it bobbed up and down when you run. It took some getting used to. Wish i bought it over Crysis, a buddy gave me COD4 in, um a not so legit way to play with to see if i liked it. Crysis sucks online, but 1 player is ok. I will never again buy a game before a gets a cracked version. I hate blowing $50 on a game and it isn't that cool. Oblivion is SOO time consuming. I got to a place and got stuck so i quite playing. I got to the painting thing and wasnt strong enough and my save points wouldn't let me out of it.

that's what I want. A long drawn out RPG. There aren't many out that I have seen, then again I haven't really looked all that hard. I want something with an intriging story and something that is repetative...like W.O.W.. Yes, I tried W.o.W., and it was ok at first, but after a few days of playing I realized every quest was pretty much the same. Kinda retarded. If any of you know of any good indepth rpgs lemme know --------------- AMD Athlon X2 4800+ Brisbane, Biostar 570 SLI Mobo, 2gb G-Skill Ram 5-5-5-15, Seagate 160gb SATA 2 Hdd, Mushkin 550W PSU, EVGA 8800gt 512, Windows XP Pro, Arctic Cooliing Freezer 64, Coolermaster Centurion 5 Natalie Gulbis is fricken HOT!!!!!!!! |

Yeah Oblivion is just quests and then you get other quests while doing those quests and it's never ending. It was really fun till I got stuck. And then if you do finish it they have expansions packs for other areas and MORE quests. If you need an RPG time killer that is the game for you. It looks awesome to. --------------- E6400@3.2ghz w/ Thermalright Ultra-120 Asus P5W DH Deluxe 4x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400 4-4-4-12 CoolMax 600W PSU XFX 8800GTS Alpha Dog (@750/1000) Dell 22" E228WFP Seagate 250GB ES.2 & 250GB 7200.10 Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer |

I've got the same card and I love it. Haven't bought COD4 for PC because of its lack of online user base vs. the 360 and I'm not as console-FPS phobic as some of the diehard Counterstrike fans are.
