Hi all,
Wonder if anyone could advise me.
I have ZyXEL P-660HW-61 router.

I have internet access, and I can access the router via wireless from any computer. But if I try to connect a PC using an ethernet cable, nothing happens.

The LAN lights flash when I turn the router off and on or reset it - but then stay off.

Before I go completely crazy, do you think the router is faulty or have I somehow managed to swith off the LAN capabilty.
Any advice is greatly appreciated

It could be faulty. Try doing this:

Since you said you can connect from wireless client, do the following from a wireless client:
1) pull up command prompt: Start > Run > type in 'cmd'
2) at prompt, type in 'ipconfig /all'. Take a note of the Default Gateway field, something like 192.168.x.1
3) open up browser and type in like 'http://<your noted gateway IP>'
4) when asked for passwords, type in default password. If you don't know, google 'default pass zyxel <your router> series'
5) when you get into admin pages, check that LAN ports are not disabled. If they are enable them.

Even after you enable them and still can't access through LAN ports, then most likely that your router is faulty.

Thanks for the help,

Have look through all admin pages, and there is not any options to enable or disable LAN ports. The LAN section only covers how DCHP is handled.

I think I may have a faulty router, but it seems weird that all 4 ports are not working.
