Think it hurt anything?

I finished putting together my new system, followed all the directions for everything, but when I powered it on all I got was enough power to turn on the fans and LED's.

Doing a little research, I have come to the conclusion that the PSU was just not strong enough, so a new one has been ordered. So my question is that in the short time it was powered up (1-2 minutes), would this have hurt the new motherboard or CPU?

In case it doesn't show, I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-D4 with an AMD Athlon X2 5600, 2 Gb G.Skill DDR2, and a BFG 6600GT vid card.

Thanks

Did the system POST?

1) Did anything burn and create smoke?

2) Did the CPU fan spin?

Otherwise it should be fine.. although I can't say for sure it was your PSU, try unplugging the fans (but not the cpu one) if it turns on longer, I would assume it is the PSU)
