Hi, I own a GA-945P-S#, E6300 and 512X2 667MHZ supertalent.
I wanted to OC the CPU but I suddenly saw that the bus speed int the BIOS (200Mhz) is diffrent fro the real one (268= 1066/4). Why is that? What should I do if I want to OC it?
Thanks! ;)

But I still dont understand. I do have this problem and it's somtimes 260*6 and somtimes 260*7. But at the bios it shows that the bus speed is 200. Why is that?

You should learn to read the manual yourself MrsBytch. Speedstep DOESNT affect the FSB of the cpu. The Multi and the volatge goes up and down. The FSB stays the same.

It should actually be 266x6 and 266x7... this is the speedstep and is normal for intel C2D's, its to conserve energy when the cpu is not in high demand.

As for the 200 bus speed... what does the bios actually list as being 200? exact wording...

Can you validate your CPU-Z so you can link it like:

E4400@3ghz

or even a pic like:

The front side bus (Intel only) is the system bus times 4. The front side bus on the 6300 is 1066. Take 1066/4= ~266. The 266 is the system bus. I agree with chookman. What is listed as being 200?
