I have a 16gb 2.0 usb flash drive and i am having issues when i save an executable file to the drive.
I can save it and it looks normal but when i go to run it later the executable file is corrupt and the icon is changed and it will not run correctly.
It will say .exe but the icon is blank and it will not run.
Is there somthing with the flash drive that is wrong?

The flash drive may be bad. Try reformatting it.

Have you run test programs against the USB drive?

There are large numbers of fake / hacked USB drives being sold on EBay and on the internet.

For information on the fake drives look google fake usb flash memory
