I am just starting to dabble a bit with Overclocking and my Motherboard is a ASRock 4Core 1600 Twins P-35. It comes with Overclocking software which seems ok but i know it should be done in Bios for best results.
I have a E4600 which i researched a bit before buying and it made the most sense for my budget at the time, mainly because it was said to get 3.0GHZ easily. However i cant get it to overclock to 3.0 GHZ. I was told that its just a case of changing the FSB but its not stable when done in software and the PC wont boot with it done in Bios.
I am wondering if there is something i should be doing like a known issue with these boards ?

Any advice welcome
