Hi!
am a beginner but would like to upgrade my brother's laptop.
Does anyone here know which version of sata is used for toshiba satellite m70-192-psm71e? the product specification web page of toshiba has no info about this:
i've read, somewhere on the 'net, that i can just simply replace my hdd since sata controllers and disks are all backward/forward compatible. but i noticed on the disk labels these info regarding voltage/current rating:
old 60 GB hdd originally supplied by toshiba (hitachi travelstar hts541060g9sa00):
5v / 1amp
new western-digital scorpio wd3200bevt :
5v / .55amp
is this a major issue or can i just replace the hitachi hdd with the new wd-scorpio?
pls help.
thanks!
