Oh common, not already...xiggy problem?

so, i JUST got all the parts for my new computer in. i go to put on my xigmatic rifle cooler with the bracket, and the retension brackets that attached to the heatsink then screw into the brackets, the holes for the screws arent lined up perfectly with the holes in the heatsink. there off maybe 1/1601/32 off.....have i got a defect already? or is there a way around this

edit: nvm... total noob mistake/overreaction. i was trying to put the brackets on the top of the sink, not the bottom >.<
