It plays music like windows startup or shutdown? just kidding. If you can determine which one makes the sound, you can run a non-destructive test on the drive to see if it passes the manufacturer's specs. Go to the manufacturer's website and download their bootable drive fitness test program. Just make sure you backup all data first!!!!
the only way to tell which it is is by unplugging one of them to see if the noise still happens. and if it is the 640GB drive, back it up as soon as you can. any noises coming from a hard drive is not a good sign.

My HTPC in the house does this when we all go do bed, it currently has 2x 320GB WD SATA drives in it with Windows Vista RAID (I dont care) it will make a click noise like a powerdown about 2-3 times after we turn the TV off....
I had what I though was a drive going bad for the longest time....clicking noises, stuttering, random lockups. I reinstalled everything onto a new drive just to be safe, but left the old drive in as a secondary. It still worked, it just made noise and was flakey acting at times, but I just left it hooked up. Soon after, my PSU died. New quality PSU installed, and guess what, now the drive works perfectly, been runing over 2 months now without a hiccup, and no more noise.
