i was looking at the qvl list on the gigabyte site and it seemed really outdated.
so i thought i would ask around here for some answers. basically i was wondering if this ram would work:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820220269
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231122
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231122

currently i am leaning towards the g-skill even though one of the patriots are faster because they only need 1.8v and i have heard the mobo has issues with low latency, high frequency and high voltage causing it to boot continuosly. or is this only with ddr 1066 +? and i dont have to bother with mir
has anyone got either of these kits or any other for around that price that can verify that they work? all help appreciated

should i maybe go for another mobo b/c of the bot issue? like the p5k-e wifi

I don't know about the first two modules, but which one was the 3rd supposed to be (same as 2nd)?

Then I cannot be of much help beside telling you my experience with the DS3L I bought about a week ago.

I bought OCZ Reaper (4-4-4-15 @ 400MHz) for my DS3L, but I haven't been able to run it stable at the given timing. I have spent numerous hours fiddling with BIOS settings and in forums trying to figure-out why it doesn't work, but so far nothing (runs fine with 5-5-5-15 @ 400MHz).

I still think the DS3L is a great board and I know some people got good overclocking with it (can't wait to get there :D), but I would never have guess it would be so yard to run some RAM at stock specifications ...

ok thanks for your replies. it seems like as long as the ram isnt high demanding this mobo works fine. with that i mean ddr2 800 cas 5; 5-5-5-xx at 1.8v
obviously many get it to work with better than this, but many seem to have troubles. i am leaning towards getting the abit ip35 pro now actually.

If you want to stay with Gigabyte, there is the DS3R which doesn't cost much more (about 30$) has more feature and seems somehow more memory-friendly. Looking at my current situation, I wish I had a DS3R instead :P.
