Hi. My phoneix bios intalls the xp install files to my hard drive fine but when I remove the cd and it reboots it says theres a disc read error,it refuses to see the xp install files,The hard drive is fine and ive tried another and Ive even used a memory card via usb as the main drive which eliminates the disc drive message but now it sticks on Verifying DMI pool data,I suspect it must be the bios, arrrgghhh please help

change the boot order in the bios to boot from the hard drive i think you have it setup to only boot from the dvd and after the install it needs to boot from the hard drive.

If only it was that simple,no already done that and changed it so that the usb memory card was the 1st boot source,in fact have gone through every possible configuration, its weird the bios recognises the hard drive or whatever i choose the install destination to be but refuses to boot from it!!!Its an Amd motherboard with Phonenix 6 bios
