Help Attaching Xigmatek Retention Bracket to Mobo

I just got my Xigmatek HDT-S1283 and the Crossbow Retention Bracket. I'm wondering what the best way to attach it to my motherboard is. I heard that the double sided tape was very sticky. Should I just peel off the entire double sided tape and hope that I never have to remove it? Should I pull off part of double sided tape? Or should I attach the retention bracket to the motherboard by some other means?

Ok, I think I got it.

However, I'm wondering what the spoiler does and how I attach it. I'm a bit confused by the spoiler.
