Hey everyone. This is kind of a "Thank you" to everyone who helped me put togerther a nice set of parts for my computer over the last couple months.

I built it just last week but only now got around to takin a couple pictures and posting it.

Sepcs:
E8400 @ 4Ghz
4GB crucial DDR2-800 @ 890Mhz.
150gb Raptor
EVGA 8800GTs 512mb OC @ 775/1900/1070
TRUE 120 w/ Scythe fan.

My Antec p182 has all optional fan slots filled with scythe fans, and it I can barely hear the thing when it's on.

3DMark2006 score before overclocking: 12310.
" after overclocking: 14506.

I tested my CPU and memory using Orthos for 10 hours and all was stable.

Temperatures for E8400 are 35C Idle and 55C Load. Tad high, but I can't complain!

Below are a few pics:

Case all closed up

Fully assembled and cable managed to the best of my abilities.

Next to my last machine which was AMD, and very poorly cabled.... Makes my new one look amazing.

Thanks for looking everyone! Any questions about it let me know!

Cheers!

Beurling.

Beurling,

Did you have any troubles with any of the cables from the 620 power supply? I have the same case and psu and heard people were having trouble with the cables not being long enough.

Nice setup. Mine is similar but with the 320MB 8800GT from EVGA. Gotta step up soon!

Are your cables routed behind a motherboard plate or some plate? My case looks similar to your old setup. I've tried to clean it up as much as I can, but there's nothing I can hide or route cables behind or hide extra cables except the expansion slots. :(

Pretty decent.

I'd better not tell you my idle & load cpu temps cuz if I did, you'd bust out your credit card & order the coolit freezone in a heart beat. :) My buddy asked me to upgrade his freezone to Tornado which drops the temps by 6C. His next upgrade is a better coolant. I'll upgrade mine when my warranty nears expiry.

Nope, all my cables reached fine, the 8pin mobo power connector was tight but still had some give.

To Akhilles: lol, i doubt my credit card would work again! I probably used too much thermal paste but I just cant be bothered to redo it for less than 10C difference. As long as I aint pushin 70C I am very happy. As a matter of fact, my temps only went up about 3C after overclocking, which suprised me. E8400 FTW!

This rig cost me roughly $1850 CAD. including taxes, shipping, and rebates.

My old rig cost over $3000 and was terrible from day one, that taught me that paying a high price doesn't mean it'll be a spectacular system. Also taught me how terrible SLI is.. at least from my experience.

Now I can play Crysis on High with very few hiccups.. I'm very happy.

http://3ck.us/quad for pics of mine in the P182. Looks pretty similar.

I need to take new pics... one set of RAM was bad so Corsair sent me Dominator memory. I called them up and told them that my memory wasn't matched and so they agreed to replace the other set with Dominator RAM... hehe. :)
