I'm waiting for the full spec release and the first 'real person' reviews. Hoping to see +++ 3Dmark06 numbers etc. I got a 8800 GT overclocked nicely, and need to see the final numbers to decide if I SLI or start all over.

I just ordered my 8800GTS (G92) the other day for $280. It's and XFX Alpha Dog edition.

If the 9800GX2 is really THAT much better, I'll sell the 8800 on craigslist and buy me a 9800.

I've read that the 9800 X2 has been pushed back to March 11'th.

Any idea what the price might be? I'm afraid that it might be over $700 at least.

well that would seem illogical since its 2 8800gt's on one board and you can buy them for around 220 each. If that was the case everyone would just go buy 2 gt's and save 300 bucks.

No no, its not going to be $700, how then could it compete with ATI's 3870x2? You can buy two 8800GTS's for about $500 if you buy the right brand. I think two 9800GTX's will beat one 9800GX2 easy and the fact that Nvidia is having trouble getting two 9800GX2's to scale well together. This might be the hottest card made by Nvidia, you thought the 8800 Ultra was hot...

Wait... the 9800 is coming out soon? Anyone have a link to anything I can see?

And should I just buy a 8800GT instead?

Sometime in March, I think the middle of March. The 9800GX2's will sell for around $449.99, but supply and demand will drive the price up. The same thing happenned when the 8800GT 512MB first came out, now its a lot cheaper after things have settled down.

Think the real delay is working out which clock speeds will not make the card cook itself to death inside of 9 months gaming lol
