Hello all:

System
AMD 9850 BE
Scythe Mugen Heatsink/fan w/ Mx-2 compound
4gb OCZ 800mhz Value ram
Asus M3A (bios 1001)
Diamond 4850
2 7200 RPM IDE drives
Antec 650 Powersupply
Antec P182 case w/ 2 120mm intake fans and 2 120mm exhaust fans

With computer at idle, I am seeing cpu temps stay about 40C (according to CoreTemp)
With CPU maxed via SETI, I temps get as high as 55C.

Vid card generally stays a consistant ~68C @ load which I believe is a good indication that there is some good airflow in the case as from what I can tell a more normal figure to see there is in the 75C range...

These temps are with ambient temps being around 24.

Does the CPU temp seem normal??

Any help is appreciated?

Your cooler almost weighs a kilo and still it's mounted with those crappy push pins. You should get a decent mounting bracket with a backplate from Scythe.
