Hello folks, i posted up a coupld of days ago about my first build, and I've discovered soemthing today that concerns me a little. I was looking at the specs for the zalman 9700 led I ordered and it says that it supports several different cpu's including core 2 duo's. I ordered a core 2 quad q6600. Will the zalman cooler still work on this cpu? I've tried to find the answer myself, but to no avail.

I don't see any problem. The thing with the coolers is that they are built for a specific socket type. C2D's and the C2Quads are the same socket. You dont have anything to worry about :)

doesn,t matter what cpu you have it depends on the socket. The only thing you should worry about is if this cooler will fit in your case:p

Do you overclock? If you do what to using that 9700 - just out of interest.

(I expect to get the Q6600 with an X48 motherboard in March or around then).
