I have been running my E6550 overclocked for about 6-7 months now.
When i run Prime95 small ftts test, it gets 69 degrees celcius. What is the threshold where it throttles down or can get damaged?
It has run rock solid (no freezes/crashes) at that temp all those months, and now i dont care if it gets damaged because its a bit old now and i will just replace, but im just curious what temps they can run stable at. I remember my old AMD shut down each time it got close to 70 degrees.
I tried reading the temp guide but i couldnt really find any answer.
EDIT: the temps are measured with realtemp.
I hear they can run stable until almost 80 degrees, is this true?
