Hi, thanks for looking. I am planning the following build:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 £129.83
MOBO: ASUS P5K £70.97
RAM: 2xCrucial 1GB PC2-6400/800MHz Ballistix £60.08
GPU: Innovision 3D 8800GTS 512MB £192.70
CASE: Antec P182 £83.27
PSU: Corsair HX Series 520W £65.84
HDD: 2xSamsung SpinPoint HD501LJ 500GB £119.00
COOLER: Arctic Freezer 7 Pro £15.70
MONITOR: Samsung SM226BW 22" Widescreen £203.42

I've not included the extras such as mouse, keyboard, OS etc but this is the main guts of the machine. Overall I am under budget by about £200. It will be used for some gaming and I would like to try and overclock to 4ghz. I do not plan on any SLI/Crossfire configurations but may put the extra money towards one of the 9 series nvidia cards when released and ebay the 8800 off.

This will be my first attempt at building a PC. I'm really looking forward to it and would really appreciate, before I buy the components, if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about this config?

Hopefully the E8400's will be in stock soon.

double check which BIOS ships with the P5K to be certain it will be compatible with the E8400 out of the box. Some are, some aren't. Mine required a bios update so I borrowed my friends for 5minutes to flash it.

Everything looks good though, you will LOVE the power supply and case, great cable management there.

Also, 4Ghz will be easy on the E8400, it was for me, so you can definitely do it.

Thanx for your message. I have the latest BIOS on a floppy ready to go in case it's needed. I can flash it from a floppy just as easy, right?
Nice build you've done there.

Could you tell me if the front of the case, where the front of the drives is seen, is black? I can't tell from any pictures I've seen.
