LG GH22NS30 burner slow read solution

I just bought a new LG DVD burner from the Egg. It was a GH22NS30 and I was very disappointed with the SAD DVD read rates. After doing some research I found a readily available utility on the internet that lets you modify the read rate. Before my read rates were like a paltry 4X but afterward they are close to 12X.....I would post a link to the utility but I am not sure posting firmware modifier links is allowed. I only posted this so people that were unhappy with the ripping speeds of this burner could know there is a fix. Do a google search for the "DVD speed code editor".
