DVD drive and cd drive is not detected!

I set up my ipod with apple and since then my cd/dvd player wont work when i put a cd or dvd it it spins up and then just stops and does nothing. Any ideas what could be wrong i am ONLY a woman and i don't know about these things, any help would be much appreciated.

Do a Windows System restore to a date prior to installing the IPOD.

Then contact support from wherever you got the ipod install from !
