As a response to many posts...

This is the hotfix from microsoft that fixes issues with Vista 64bit and 4gb of RAM or more.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777

Installing Steps

1. Download Hotfix from link above
2. Install hotfix once done downloading
3. When it is done installing DONT restart, go to Start>Shut Down
4. Once your computer if powered down, turn off you PSU and unplug it just in case
5. Place the extra RAM sticks into slots on your motherboard
6. Close your case, plug in, turn on, boot up...cross fingures.

Hope this helps everyone having problems with Vista 64bit and 4gb of RAM!

I was going to offer some help, but then saw how I could expect to be treated. Hope you enjoy your pretty blue screen.

I agree with Wesley on this one. Although he could have been nicer he clearly listed 2 x 2gb modules in the first post. Its not like most posters who don't list their components and expect help.

Ditto on the concurrence: ie Wesley's post.
The hot fix works on most systems, it's a pain to pull a stick of ram just to make your computer work, but hey when this was out in beta not to many people had 4GB of ram in their systems.

LOL, daley didn't even read the OP first post...IF you are not even going to fully read the post, please don't help as more times than not you'll either confuse the OP or make the problem worse... :heink:

The OP could have been nicer, yes, but seriously, it's not like he said swore at daley calling him an idiot or anything remotely like that he just stated the obvious... :pt1cable:

IF you are not going to take the time to read the full Original post, please do not help as you will either confuse the OP or make the matter worse. :pfff:  :pfff:  :pfff:
