Missing File>New>Word Document

Hello,
Used to be I could open a new Word document in Windows XP by left clicking File, then New, then Word Document. Now Word is NOT an option, but silly things like Wave sound and bitmap image are. How do I restore Word Document as an option in New?

Restore does not erase your personal files and is reversible.
click start
click all programs
click accessories
click system tools
click system restore
check the box that says restore my computer to an earlier time, click next
select a bold date on the calendar, a date before the problem started, click next
follow through with the restore directions
restart the computer after it finishes
if the system restore does not work, select an even earlier bold date on the calendar and repeat the procedure
try this with at least four earlier dates before giving up and trying something else

Whatever I do to the File menu in my version of Word - Office XP Pro 2003 - I can't amend the New options short of re-programming the menu &File and &New. I certainly can't persuade Word to offer me a music file or picture. Which version do you have?

AmI right in suspecting when you mentioned the word "restore" you weren't thinking of System restore.[/#000ff]
