Hi all

Recently started getting Artifacts in bf2142 more than likely the video card on its way out but perhaps its something else so could someone knowledgeable about these things let me know what they think could be causing it, im slowly building a new pc anyway but i was planning on keeping my old system as a media center or something but dont really want to buy a new gfx card if it isnt at fault.

Ive had this system for a few years, on the same drivers so its goto be hardware?

The gfx cards an nvidia 6800gt btw

Seems like it's overheating. Crank up the fan speed with a tool like Rivatuner. You can also try replacing the thermal paste.

Thanks for the reply installing ntune now to check the temps, its usually pretty low tho i installed an aftermarket cooler a few months ago so u could be right think it was an arctic cooler

hmmm just checked ntune and gpu1 is at 50c idle that seems pretty high, gona take it out and reapply some thermal paste and see if that helps any..
