Error message for umax astra 4100

hi. i got this umax astra 4100 for second hand.
the previous owner told me to run it in compatible mode...somehow it has been done... i think the drive has been installed. but now i get this ,

aqurice twain error. reinstall..


plzzzz helpppp.... i am so lost... i really want it to work...

So, remove it first!

It works in the Compatibility mode as WinXP sp2 and/or sp3
