Okay, so I want to build a new computer for gaming. I have my whole set up ready but I'm unsure about a couple of things and I am interested in your opinions.

I will be playing at 1680x1050 resolution.

I was thinking about going with the E8400. Now I know the new quads will be coming out soon so do you think it would be worth the wait?

Also, I was planning on going with 2 8800 GT's or maybe even 2 8800 GTS' (G92) depending on the price difference. I was wondering if you think it's worth waiting for the 9000 series cards or just go with the 8000 series now?

Thanks for the input.

Hold out a little longer. If you are itching to get a new build get a cheap CPU and a good motherboard that will probably support the new Quads and a cheap graphics. You can try OCing and messing around with it (if you haven't OCed before) with out risking more expensive CPU/GPUs. You should probably look into the X38/P35/780i depending on if going for SLI etc.
