Hi
Have a HP machine with 4 Sata ports (reported by intel matrix manager as 0/1 and 2/3)
I want to add a second hard drive and a DVD writer and a Blu Ray writer all of which are Sata.
Not going to Raid the hard drives.
I do a lot of video work and generally rip to second hard drive, process to C: drive and then burn.
Putting the second hard drive to Sata port 2, matrix manager and bios report both drives on same port - should I put hard drives on Sata 1 and 3 and DVD writer on 2 (use this one to rip to D:\) and Blu Ray on Sata 4 - thus allowing me to always be working from one Sata bank to the other both in terms of ripping \ processing and writing.
Or does it not matter with Sata?
