I recently build my first rig with the specs below. Due to a budet though I was forced to get the less powerful 3850 instead of the 8800GT I had planned on getting. It was either a bigger monitor or a beefier GPU and I went for the monitor seeing as I plan to keep it much longer than the GPU. Now that Ive finally gotten some money saved up Im thinking about getting some new parts. Heres the Rig so far:

E8400 (stock)
HD 3850
GA P35 DS3L
2Gb of A-DATA RAM
250 GB HD
Samsung DVD/RW
Antec Sonatta III w/ Earthwatts 500
21.6in Monitor native res. 1680 x 1050

I was looking at this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143119
For the pricetag of $240 after rebate it seems really good. Ive never dealt with BFG so are they any good, what about warranty?

I also need a CPU cooler. The Arctic Cooler 7 is supposed to be good but is there something better for about the same price? If I ever OC it will be very minimal. I really don't want to spend more than $40 here.

Lastly I would like a soundcard. The Creative Xtreme line is supposedly good. Ive heard about problems with sound cards in Vista though and want to avoid those.

Im going to move the 3850 to my old computer which my brother games on so it won't be wasted.

Thanks for any help and suggestions. Sorry for the length I just wanted to put this all in one post instead of 3 seperate ones.

You can save some money by not getting the sound card and putting it towards something more helpful in your computer.... Onboard sound is so good these days it's really not worth getting a sound card.. I have one and there's no difference.

Thanks for replying! My old PC has a sound card and now that I think of it the sound quality isn't really any better.

Again though is BFG a good name and what about a good, cheap, and reliable CPU cooler.

I'd recommend the Freezer 7. Used the Freezer 64 on this current rig, it does really well, and I've ordered the 7 version for my new e2160 build. I know there are better coolers out there for OCing, but for the price, the AF7 comes close to those costing nearly double.

Ive been reading reviews and for its price the Freezer 7 Pro seems to be the best.

Thanks for the help.

Here's some advice:

When a man loves a woman they usually do things together in a car. Now it's usually not a womans preffered place, in fact they would rather sometimes men talked. We can't, we like shoiwing a woman a good time...

So anyways your thing goes into a womans whizzer...9 months down the like you wished you hadn't.
