Wep key as a file folder?

Forum Windows Vista : Security Wep key as a file folder?

Hello,
I have noticed a file folder on my laptop C drive that is named as a WEP key would appear - it is C:\3cdbdf4f5e3f8fcfb3d16fb090. I can open the file and see folders named as 4 digit numbers that show they are empty and some other document, application, image and extension files - 14 files and 26 folders in total. I am unable to get access to delete or modify the files so I am concerned this may be some kind of malware that has got onto my computer somehow. My son is often using my laptop and he has downloaded games and movies in the past that now concerns me as possible sources. The WEP key number I have shown is not that of our router or our previous one. Any ideas?

Just to clarify; this appeared on the computer in October last year so it isn't something that came with it. I am wanting to do a back up onto a portable hard drive and am worried about backing up a virus or malware item(s).

Thanks again.
