Hi, I just recently built a new PC. DS3L mobo/GTS/P182 Case etc.

I installed all the components, close my case back up, I boot it up and I get to my main screen (Shows Gigabyte logo and options)

Problem is, it gives me options to hit I.E. F12 for Bios etc. BUT I keep hitting those keys on my keyboard and nothing happens. As if my keyboard were non-responsive. It does work, i tried out 2 differing keyboards. It also lights up twice when I am turning off my PC, so it is alive. But I keep smashing my keys and no go.

Please help, thanks.

Update: Tried switching the ram from OCZ to something older/slower but no go. Keyboard lights up @ startup/turn off, everything seems fine but I get no response when I stroke keys on Post screen.

I agree with Jim_L9 - if it is a fancy keyboard with secondary functions to the F buttons just hit F12, FcnLock, F12 again to make sure the computer is getting the F12 signal. OR just borrow a classic keyboard for the install.

It's a normal PS2 Keyboard, tried 2 of them already. Plan on running Windows XP.

I can't hit any keys, like Del/F12/F11/Tab won't do anything, stuck @ the post screen. I am currently in the process of resetting CMOS because a gigabyte tech suggested it, then we will see what else happens.

Also, side question, what minimal components do I need to start off with? Mobo+CPU//PSU [24pin//and a VGA, is that all?

Thanks, if you have any other suggestions regarding the main issue feel free to supply them.
