I ran chkdsk /r which resulted in non-recoverable errors found. My PC now reports "No bootable drive". How do I get back up and running?
[#0005ff]It doesn't sound too positive but although the drive may have errors preventing it fom booting, your personal files, or some of them, may be recoverable. It's as well to buy a new hard disk and reinstall Windows on it then slave your present disk to it and see what you get back by copying from the old and pasting to the new.
One last thing to try - just in case teh Windows Checkdisk is giving up on your disk too quickly - is the manufacturer's own cleanup tools. Open the box and find out who made that disk then download their tools from their website - no-one else's - and try running those.[/#000ff]
