Computer freezes

Hi there i have a pc consisting of an asus mb, 2 x1000 kingston memory sticks, and im experiencing several freezing episodes to the point yesterday that i did a repair with xp to no avail. some history, about 2 months ago i got the bad virus avira, and my p.c never run the same. i have also tryed replacing both memory sticks and running individually..to see if that might rectify issue. tyvm in advance.

  1. A repair may not do the trick. I'd try a total re-install but make sure you have your data backed up and have copies of your programs handy. If you are afraid of losing data, get a new drive and setup a new copy of Windows on that.
