My slave dvd drive freeze's up window's when i put disk in.

Hey guy's whats up, My DVD drive freeze's up my window's every time i put a disk in. It's only my slave connecte drive thats having this problem. I bought a new drive last night and it 's doing the same thing still, so appparently it's not a bad drive and it's only my slave connection. If you guy's have any advice or tell tell me how to fix this problem i would appreciate it.Could it be my setting's in my bios?, i dont know, any suggestion's please guy's thanks,

Try changing ribbon cables, try a diff CD aswell. Or try switching the drives, the one that works thats master put it to slave and slave to master. Ive had probs with my drive, but it only happens with certain cds locks windows up but as soon as i take cd out everything is ok.

Have you made sure the jumpers on all your disks are set right?
They often are set to default and need changing when you buy a new disk.
