What is the better choice for me, general computer and burning a couple DVD's a week.Don't talk me into something else, it will be one of these. Just not sure what one, I like speed opening my files. I do not know how too OC, just want something fast. I have a GA-P35-DS3L board. Not sure when these cpu's will be released?. I have a 600.00 budget too buy a cpu.

I would for sure go for quad if you have a DVD workload and want the fastest. You have a pretty healthy CPU budget, one that I am jealous of, so I vote Q9550 all the way.

I think you would be happy with either one but if the money is no thing...go for it man.
