XFX or EVGA 790i

I am thinking of buying one of these boards. Does anyone have a preference and why? Also will either of them take a Zalman 9700 LED? What kind of ram are you using on the respective boards? Also overclocking capability for Q6600?

Any help would be appreciated.

I tried a Zalman 9500 cooler on the EVGA board. Won't fit. The cooling fins around the CPU socket are too tall and interfere with the locking bar on the 9500. I'm assuming the 9700 uses the same mechanism. I didn't feel like hacking away at an expensive board or trying to modify the locking mechanism.

What fan did you go with. I will be overclocking a Q6600 to 3.0 ghz?
XFX board layout looks identical

For now, I'm just using the cooler that came with the chip. I haven't had time to even finish putting it together yet. Those nasty little interruptions..., such as life and work..., keep intruding on the things I really want to do.

I've done enough research now. I'm going with a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6. I found that foxconn manufactures both those boards
Since I'm not concerned with SLI this makes sense for me. Plus I haven't read anything bad about the Gigabyte board.
