I just reinstalled xp and don't have the net adapter driver on cd. I know that it is a 1394 version 5.1.2535.0. I don't have access to the internet without this driver and so driver diagnostic tools aren't working. Can somebody tell me how to find out what driver I need and where I can download it from? Also, I have randomly downloaded some drivers that I thought would work, is having multiple drivers downloaded going to be a problem? Thanx

I wouldn't spend too much time on this -- if you can't get existing network adapter running easily, get a new one as they are so cheap.

In fact, it's perfectly safe to buy one from a flea market for pennies -- though I'd always get the Intel chipped models (sometimes called Xircom) because Windows has inbuilt drivers for those.
